This will only give republicans and tea party nuts more reasons to hate us. As long as this influx remains ongoing, there will never be reforms. The logical thing for all of us to wish is a secure border and unfortunetaly these kids are not helping us. Selfish or not, it's really in our best interest that they are stopped and turned back or else there will never be a reform.

This is absolutely crazy to me. While I know US has so many more opportunities than other countries, it's not all roses here. Even orphaned U.S citizens get a raw deal once they enter the system.
Right. Traffickers shouldn't be our only concern, though. CBP and ICE abuse adults. So, imagine what they will be doing to these kids.

I'm sure their parents set them up for this accompanying them until they get to the border.

Why do people keep saying that Mexican kids are the only ones crossing the border? I have read multiple articles stating that the vast majority are from central and South America. Mexico is not as screwed up as the media makes it believe. When I was over there I saw kids with cell phones, beats by dre headphones and named brand clothes going to malls and have fun. Yeah they are poor kids over there but I didn't see a lot of them. I don't agree with ANY of the kids no matter nationality getting special benefits. The US needs to take care of what's going on in here and let Mexico deal with the immigrants coming from south of Mexico's border.
