My Congressman got me APPROVED! - Page 6

Damn, that's a long time to receive the card. I'll definitely try to tell new job if I can start a week later, if they let me.

I believe in the USCIS website it says 30 days to receive new card, but most people receive it within 7-10 days. I think they say 30 days because government is too damn slow so they can just cover their bases.

I remember they used to send it over 2 years ago through priority mail, seems like they are not doing that anymore.

Hey Ya'll, Just got approved. Expiring in a week. App sent July 1st. Had to contact my Congressman. I was worried sick the last few weeks cos of my job. Please contact your congress person if you're concerned! and best of luck to all my fellow dreamers!

Hi Smarty, when did you contact your Congressman? I contacted my Congresswomen and Senator and they sent an e-mail to the Texas Service Center on 10-20-14, but still no update yet. My attorney contacted the Ombudsman late last week, but no update yet. My application was received on 7-11-14 and still in initial review. My EAD expires on 11-9-14 and I have a tentative start date for a new job on 11-3-14. I hope I get approved soon. Best of luck to everybody!

got approved!!! Contacted congressman and Senator. Got nothing. But I feel like they helped. But I know it was God!

he still has to do his duty, hes a congressman first and a rep second.. bahahaha you're fed.

that guy is a fing joke, nobody listens to him in congress either. but in his defense hes probably got a billion requests sitting on his desk, since he is "the guy"

I bet that guy gets a ton of mail and faxes that he ends up ignoring it lol

*7/11/14 - receipt (Texas Center)
*8/5/14 - biometrics appointment
*9/2/14 - biometrics appointment #2 (due to apparent "computer glitch")
*10/28/14 - EAD in "card/document production"

***11/2/14 EAD/DACA expiration
