I am going through a consultant but its a straightforward process. The canadavisa forum is extremely helpful. If you have enough points amd decide to apply I would highly recommend submitting the FBI background check first as its a very time consuming process

Once you receive the approval for PR you have a set time to become a landed immigrant so I had used my AP to come to Canada during that time. I lived here (Canada) for about a year then went back home (US). I just moved back this year after Trump got into office. Call me a chicken if you will, but I have the responsibility of my parents and if I am jobless then we all become homeless, so I just got up and left.

If you guys have any questions regarding the move to Canada feel free to send me a message.

I dont usually post on the forum but I am a frequent visitor. If you have any questions regarding migrating to Canada or even multiple entry AP let me know.

Regardless of where I am, one thing is for sure.. US will always be home.

Thanks!
With the latest DACA changes sadly AP is no longer a valid option

So to move to Canada we'd have to apply from our country?

No. I applied from here and my application is pending. There is another applicant on this forum who is approved.

Did you have to get fingerprints done somewhere?

Slightly off-topic. My sister was here for 8 years 2003-2011(DACA didn't exist, and she wouldn't be eligible cuz she was 17 when we came here), and she got married to someone that lives in Toronto, Canada(He's a GC holder not citizen). She had to go back to our country to get her Canada Visa sorted for like 6 mos-a year ( I forgot). She lives in Toronto now, and what's weird is she didn't seem to trigger the 10-year ban because she's been coming back to Los Angeles like every year (since 2013). lol. So I think maybe if you move to Canada and get married to a resident there, the 10-year ban gets cancelled out?

How do they determine if you triggered the 3-10 year ban? Do they ask questions and assume or is there some paper trail?

Was your sister registered with immigration? USCIS has all our information, fingerprints etc. Before DACA it might have been possible, but it's unlikely you will not trigger the ban now.

I'm not sure. We flew in legally and were legal residence for like 2-3 years through a sponsor. I remember her getting a California ID. So I'm assuming USCIS has all of her info? Yeah, it's a mystery to me. Wondering if anyone can crack the case, or maybe she accidentally found a loophole? Hmmm...
