Plus there's the sheer contradiction when they call DACA a victory and call Obama deporter-in-chief, all in the SAME POST.

Let's create some sort of petition that shows our disapproval of these radical immigration activists. We have to show that they simply do not speak for a lot of us.

As many as possible! I put something together really quick. I don't consider myself the best writer in the world so I would love feedback from everyone who agrees. I'm pretty sure there's some grammar errors in there as well, bear with me.

In light of recent events that took place on September 18, 2017, it is time for our voice to be heard. A group of activists interrupted Congresswoman Pelosi’s Press Conference regarding DACA, prompting her to leave. These are tactics that a lot of Dreamers do not agree with. These are groups do not speak for ALL Dreamers.

Congresswoman Pelosi is one of the many US Senators and Congressmen/Congresswoman that are fighting for a permanent solution to the Dreamer dilemma, the DREAM Act.

Several activist groups have taken a position of “11 million or nothing” or “Clean DREAM Act or nothing” which quite frankly is shortsighted and naïve. We understand the anger, uncertainty and fear that the cancellation of DACA has sparked within us but we must channel that energy to get support, not interrupt or scream at our allies.

In a perfect world, Congress would come together and craft a comprehensive immigration reform that would overhaul the immigration system and potentially fix status for undocumented population that has done nothing but contribute to America.

Unfortunately, in the current political climate, this is not the case. Comprehensive immigration reform proposals have come and gone in the last decade or so. The original DREAM Act was first introduced in 2001. That’s sixteen years. It has a yet to pass. Put that into perspective.

DACA, the executive order issued by President Obama changed our lives, 800K+ to be exact. It allowed us to live our lives in moderate peace. Gave us an opportunity to get good jobs, education and careers. If you’re a Dreamer, I don’t have to explain to how this program has changed our lives. President Obama always intended DACA to be a temporary solution, buying us time so we can focus on our lives while a legislative solution got passed. The end of DACA is here and so is the time for a realistic permanent solution.

President Trump’s ending of DACA has ignited support unlike anything our community has seen. This is the time for DREAM Act to become the law of the land. But this must be done in a pragmatic solution. Politicians such as Senator Schumer and Congresswoman Pelosi have stepped up to the plate to give us the DREAM Act. We must understand that for the DREAM Act to pass, there is high chance that it will have some sort of “border security” package for it to have President Trump’s signature. And it is his signature that will make such a bill into law.

Let’s be clear. At the moment, we don’t know the details of what the “border security” includes. If recent reports have validity, it does not include “The Wall”. Border security does not mean that 11 million people are going to be deported. Do not let the fear mongering agendas win. It doesn’t mean that we are selling out. It does not mean that we are betraying our parents. We are not.

Quite the opposite really. We much rather be in a position to be able to help them, to make sure that all of their sacrifices were worth it. To ensure that all 14+ hour shifts they worked for low wages just to help us through college were worth it. To allow them to see us become something more than just living in fear or uncertainty.

We do believe that there will be a time when a Comprehensive Immigration Reform will be achieved. However, there are less than 6 months left before 800K + lives begin to be pushed back into the shadows.

The time for DREAM Act is now. It is not the time for ultimatums.
