If by God's grace this passes and becomes law. Are they still doing credit checks for green card applications? My credit is fucked and I am paying off some debt settlements. Did Biden reverse that? Other than a physical exam, background checks what else are they checking for when applying for green cards?

never thought id see the day.. just need to whip the senators from AZ and WV.

there is good reason to be optimistic.. then again i dont blame the pessimists for feeling the way they do. it is what it is.
Joey should be bribing Mittens & MrCowsky, but he doesn't 'cuz I doubt he wants it passed

Not yet. They just agreed to discuss it. Deadline is September 15 to come up with the bill language. Now they are on vacation.

Yeah but I don't expect them to write up the bill fast. Most likely we will have to wait till September anyway

“Without ONE single GOP vote, Senate passes 3.5 trillion budget reconciliation that includes path to citizenship.”

So this vote was for the discussion?

Yep. Basically it was like a test vote.

I can't believe I missed this. Credit score for applicants was a thing? I thought it was denying anyone who had federal help or something.
