Did you guys tell HR about your expiration? I expire in about 10 days. Work for a large corporation and (surprisingly) haven't heard anything.

I did my INFO appointment today in SANTA ANA holmes. The lady was super chill and nice. I explain to her that i sent my renewal packet back in MAY 9, how I paid and that I did my biometrics already on MAY 31. She asked for my ID. She said they were working on it. I ask if she knew for SURE if an officer was working on my application. She said no. She said that they are just the "middle man" they don’t really know what’s going on. She said that there was a problem with the system so they are TYPING errrthing manually. She said not to worry about my card being expire. The government is not going to kick me out of the USA they got bigger fish to catch.

Tomorrow is my expiration date and then I'll start working from home. It's kind of a blessing in disguise because I commute 2hrs one way to my job, so hopefully this will give me time to look for another job in between and/or set up a frequent work-from-home policy going forward once I return to the office. I'm still waiting on responses to emails that I sent to my Congressman and IRLC and SCCOPS last week. I plan on calling USCIS Friday if I don't get notice of approval by then, and I'm not holding my breath over here for it.

To those of you receiving weird notices, don't be surprised, that stuff happens all the time at USCIS. Last renewal, I got my EAD fine but I never got my I-824D approval notice and the reason was that they delivered it to my old address...

Fast forward 2 months from that, I got them to give me the notice by calling the CS center, and I got it, but a week later, I got 2 forwarded notices for telling me that I needed to renew my permit... Sometime later, I also got text notifications that my application had been received... 3 years after they were received.

USCIS is a mess, always has been, and I'm only one person, and I've had several things like that happen to me. Just make sure to double check with USCIS that they have your correct information when you get weird shit like that. Other than that, you are at the mercy of their ineptitude. Harsh, but true.
