For the people who got approved and had to take a leave of absence. I just submitted a screenshot of my approval on the website and HR said it was fine. Long as it shows it's in process you are good.

Interestingly... the i765 update on myuscis account site went from "... approved your application or petition, or request. USCIS will mail your proof of benefit or uscis action to you" TO... "USCIS has accepted your application, petition, or request for processing." again.

BUT, my case status app shows" card is being produced" on sept 20.

QUESTION:
How long does it take for the EAD to be delivered? I notice people are saying there are delays on the production/delivery of EAD.

I was doing what some people were doing before and checking receipt number before and after me.... Don't do it, it will only make you angrier when you see the next ten cases after you already got approved or their EAD sent to them already

I don't know if I should do an E-Request... I'm beginning to run out of time, but I've heard the "if you make too many requests, it only delays your case" line and I don't want any delays.

Do you expire on 10/14? I think they are taking expiration into account.

10/13... Yeah, I think that's true, but because of my situation (got laid off, will start new job on Monday) I'm freaking out. I'm hoping that I hear something the next two weeks, but I have no idea what my new employer will say about my permit expiring in three weeks... They might rescind the offer, or not care. I have no idea. I'm hoping for the best but who knows what will happen. I just have no idea and all I'm doing is picturing all the additional bad scenarios that can happen, I'm a mess... Not knowing kills me.

if I were you be prepared and take all the stuff regarding your application (i.e. receipt notice, biometrics, and if possible a snapshot of ELIS showing your in process). and if asked you can show that you are getting it done. just a thought! good luck!

Yeah, I thought of that. I hope it all works out. Regardless, I already have plan B (I have another job interview lined up next week in case they tell me no), but my concern is not having income. Last year I had a tough time finding a new job (when I was laid off the first time) and I'm really concerned that's going to happen again, and this time I won't be able to collect any unemployment because I don't have an unexpired work permit.
