sigh
It actually is illegal to rescind the offer if the card is not expired yet. You could of started your job today and expired on 9/23 and they would still have to keep you on till the end of 9/23. Just make a hell of a good impression and they will keep the position for you. Congrats on the new job though!

Whoa, we are actually entitled to collect unemployment? That's good to know.

Have you called USCIS and talked to someone?

Yes, in Maryland, as long as you are authorized to work, you can collect unemployment. We pay unemployment taxes after all!!!

It probably is illegal, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens, I'm just hoping it doesn't.

I submitted a service request over the phone and they said I have to wait 30 days before I can do anything else. I also tried to submit another one online and it wouldn't let me because it said that it has not been 6 months yet. But isn't a renewal supposed to take 120 days max?

My I-765 status just went from card production to On September 11, 2016, we approved your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization. We will mail your approval notice.

While the ELIS site says: USCIS has produced your Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) and mailed it to the address you provided.

Does this mean that the card has been sent out?

You can keep calling I guess...also elevate your case through NILC, and contact your representatives in your state.
