I don't remember this much stress concerning renewals last year. I wonder if it's just nerves or we really have reason to be concerned about timely renewals this time around.

Look at your receipt notice. It should say in the notice and also the envelop in which it came.

Like I said in one my previous posts, things are not going as smooth as USCIS hoped. People seem to underestimate how difficult is to transition from one paper based system to an electronic service. I know this whole fiasco is affecting lives at the moment but there is little they can do when the system feeding the case workers our cases doesn't work. There is going to be heads on the chopping block and that's going to be that... sadly.

Dug out this little article explaining what ombudsman has release so far, and trust me, this is the tip of the iceberg.

In no way was my intention to spread fear mongering, I'm just pointing at the root of the problem that is putting so many of us at the edge of our seats everyday. This is as bad as it can get when you speak of processing times. Things are getting better, not worst.

This is what I want to know. It's just making me nervous seeing that everyone is taking so long to be approved. Mine expires until October, but I know my company will start asking for my EAD 90 days before that. I really hope people start getting approved soon.
