10 day wait after DACA before SSN - Page 66

I got the exact same letter when I went today, except mine said 2 weeks instead of 4.
About the 10 day wait thing, I was told that's only for people that can not obtain a certified copy or do not have their original birth certificate. After the 10 days they can apply for their ss card using their foreign passport.

The ten day wait is a myth my sister just got her ssn today. She went to apply for it a day after she got it in the mail(wenesday) and she got it today Tuesday less than a week.

It's not a myth, it depends on the SSA you go to. Some won't even process your application until after the 10 days.

If there isn't a reference number, then you're set. You've been verified , and you can get a print out already.

Well if there isn't a reference number , you gotta go to a SSA office and just request a print out of your number. Keep in mind that not all offices will be willing to give it to you. I had to drive to another office to get my print out.

Ok thanks!! I don't have a reference number on my letter so I will try to get it tomorrow.

Does the SSA office ask if we received any kind of aid???
9 years ago when my mom was pregnant with my USC sister, she apply for MEDICAL for me and for me siblings. We were granted MEDICAL FOR EMERRGENCY ONLY. Then, mom applied for food stamps 4 years ago for my USC sister. Since I was contributing money, I was requested to provide my signature and picture. I never apply w/ my fake ssn! My mom and I always stated we have no lawful status.

Do I have to explain this even though we apply for food stamps for my USC sister? How about MEDICAL?????? Is anybody in a similar situation???
How about the fake ssn???? Do you guys say we bought a fake ssc?
