I was told that my card should arrive in 4 weeks. Called this morning since the four weeks have all ready passed and now I was told 4-8 weeks. SS is still waiting for immigration to verify my document, plus I was told that since it's the end of the year there are very bz...

If it says "four weeks" with a reference number on the receipt, you weren't in the system and you'll have a while to wait. The lady who processed mine also said, "Ohhhh! You're in the system. Immigration verified your document.." |

I checked the "Legal alien allowed to work" box.
I think it's just a matter of luck. I see some ppl that get their ss right away other have to wait. I guess I just have to wait two or three more weeks.. No worries here :/
