My friend's brother hasn't applied cuz he is still working on his ged. But he has been here forever. Please keep us updated.

Q1: Does “currently in school” refer to the date on which the request for consideration of deferred action is filed?
A1: To be considered “currently in school” under the guidelines, you must be enrolled in school on the date you submit a request for consideration of deferred action under this process.

Q2: Who is considered to be “currently in school” under the guidelines?
A2: To be considered “currently in school” under the guidelines, you must be enrolled in:

a public or private elementary school, junior high or middle school, high school, or secondary school;
an education, literacy, or career training program (including vocational training) that is designed to lead to placement in postsecondary education, job training, or employment and where you are working toward such placement; or
an education program assisting students either in obtaining a regular high school diploma or its recognized equivalent under state law (including a certificate of completion, certificate of attendance, or alternate award), or in passing a General Educational Development (GED) exam or other equivalent state-authorized exam.

oops.my message was for you. I haven't figure out the system yet.

My question is if you are still high school age or are you older? Because that part of th eligibility guidelines was the most confusing.

I interpreted the guidelines to mean that IF you were high school age you could be currently working on a ged or high school diploma otherwise if not high school age that you had to have a high school diploma or ged already in hand. My friend's brother hasn't applied cuz he is still working on his ged. But he has been here forever. Please keep us updated.

Same here. Didnt send passport cause I didn't had one . Got one two days before biometrics since I needed one for that. And 14 days later after bios I get the rfe. . I'm sorry but most likely you're going to get an rfe requesting a goverment issued ID.

I'm 20. I go to adult school. It's a school on the same campus as a normal high school . It's just three classrooms for us instead of access to the whole school. I explained my situation to the lady on the phone
And she said dont worry, as long as you were currently in school before applying you should be good to go, she said that . I told her my age too. I don't think age matters . I even mention i was attending an adult school and when I would be graduating. She told me to write a cover letter explaining to the officer my situation. Which I did.. She said that the officer made a mistake, ( one of the reason why is because one of my transcripts from 2010 said class of 2011... That's before I dropped out and went to adult school do to financial problems and had to get a job. We will have to wait and see if I get approved

That is good to know. That was such a confusing question on the application. I heard about 3 different answers from a couple of people on how to answer it. Since I do have university degrees. I answered high school graduate on the first. Put enrolled on the question of last attendance. Put the city of my university in the location question.

Don't stress over it, My lawyer kept on telling me he send my packet on the 18 but I didn't get an immigration receipt until the 26. Does your recipe say 10 days ago? Plus per immigration they have 60 days to review our REF. Hopefully it doesn't take them such a long time!

I haven't even gone to biometrics.lol. I was just asking because my friends bro doesn't have his ged completed and he was holding up to finish it before applying. Just want to make sure good information was being shared. I think is hard not to stress. For yourself and for your friends. I sent 40 pages of information. I sent an index that listed all the information into the different "categories" I. Identity II. Arrival before 16 III.educational evidence and so on. I labeled and numbered everything. For continuous residence I sent 24 pages. I hope I didn't send too much and that it holds me back. I sent the years labeled too 2007, 2008, and so on...They better not send me an RFE.

I am one of those paper hoarder types of people..If they need more evidence I have a whole box of it. I kept everything. I don't know. Something told me I would need it some day.
