In truth if you are looking for a cheaper place to get started it really depends on what you plan on doing for work. Stay away from BC it costs a lot to live or do anything there. Rent costs a lot in Alberta but judges pay more and there is no province tax. Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge(where I was born), Red Deer and Medicine Hat are really nice places to live and there is work in them. I will tell you this now though, Alberta is really really really cold.

Saskatoon and Regina are nice also, a lot of jobs there living isn't too bad. Crime is a bit bad in Regina it just depends where you are there. It's also really really really cold there. Winnipeg is nice, a lot of jobs, a lot of things to do. But really cold, freezing cold haha.

Really you might want to look around Southern Ontario, London, Hamilton, Guelph, Burlington, Mississauga, Waterloo-Kitchner. The thing that is great about Southern Ontario is that cost of living isn't bad, a lot of jobs because you have so many cities close to eachother or commute to Toronto. It's cold but not as cold as everywhere else.

Um Quebec don't bother unless you speak french.

Da_User is just exercising his free speech rights! Banning people just because you oppose their opinion is not morally correct.

Now stop degrading yourselves and fight for the DA! Do not step down to the level of those.....Republicans...........more specifically, Tea Party Members.

Since when do privately owned forums entitle everyone to absolute Freedom of Speech?

They don't. Just like I can't run into a movie theater and scream "Fire!", DA User shouldn't be able to constantly post the same thing in every topic over and over and over without actually putting some thought behind what he posts.

Haha, since they moved this topic to this section I had forgotten to check it :P I applaud IDim and withchemicals on their latter remarks.

Although I think the following statements deserve a thread of their own, I will make them here since it is relevant.

On the specific case of DA User, he is in clear violation of the forum rules found at: http://dreamact.info/forum/showthread.php?t=3695

In section I. Posting Rules, one can clearly see subsection 3. No Trolling.
I took the liberty to search for the definition of Trolling on wikipedia, and it is as follows:
Quote:
...a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll
The forum rules and guidelines linked above, clearly lists the consequences for those actions:
Quote:
IV. The following will result in a permanent BAN
Spamming
Trolling
Any other form of abusive use of the forum
To conclude my first statement, I was considerate enough to put this up for a vote instead of demanding that the forum rules be followed and the punishment stated in such rules be applied. My consideration went even further when I decided to include a 3rd option on the poll to "Temporarily Ban" DA User until after the vote for the Dream Act occurs in the Senate. Also, the poll was released without previous discussion and I know for a FACT that many people have changed positions on the issue after voting due to DA User getting on their nerves, as well. And last but not least, my phone (where I check the forum most often) doesn't keep me logged in, so although I have added DA User to my ignore list, when I am logged off I am still able to see his comments.

My second statement, reinforces what IDim and withchemicals stated earlier. To those of you who claim DA User is making use of his Freedom of Speech:
Quote:
The fighting words doctrine, in United States constitutional law, is a limitation to freedom of speech as protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. In its 9-0 decision, Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire (1942), the U.S. Supreme Court established the doctrine and held that "insulting or 'fighting words,' those that by their very utterance inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace" ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fightin...#United_States
Disregarding my first statement that concluded that DA User was violating the forum rules with his posts, he was repeatedly told to stop by several different users, yet he continued to post things that irritated people and incited "an immediate breach of the peace"
Therefore, his freedom of speech was overpowered by the Fighting Words Doctrine.

I will now take questions. :P
