Is not free though, unless you get a full scholarship to pay for it. And those scholarship are extremely limited.

!@#$, just got my biometrics appointment, it is for 10/05/2012 at 8 in the morning... I leave that same day at 5:30 in the morning from O'hare, flying down to south florida.

I hope they allow me to be a walk in, otherwise, I lost $250 because there is no way I am going to be re-scheduling. What sucks is that the south side location would have been more convenient for me to do a walk in because I study in the south side and the north side location is about an hour and a half from there. :-/

Has anyone been able to do the walk-in in the boardway location yet? I know that people have been complaining of the treatment they have received and that they are judgemental and will not allow the walk-in until the day before, but the day before is too much of a toss-up for me, I was afraid of this, the one day i was crossing my fingers not to get the biometrics...

No one that I heard has done a successful walk in on the north side location. I strongly suggest, to go to the south side location ASAP...just walk in with your letter and ID, dont say anything, and give your letter to the guard and that is it. If they question you, just say you have a flight on that day and this location is closer to you because of school. They are really nice, so I bet they will let you proceed.

You can go a day before of your appointment. Just tell the guard the reason why you're doing your biometric a day early.

I am hoping there is no problem walking into a different location than assign, I am sure there is not, since all they are doing is collecting the biometrics which will be accessed at a different location.

In any case, I will consult a few attorneys I am working with and come back with an answer as soon as they respond.

Day before I have a lab I cannot miss and a paper due. Plus, this location is about an hour and a half from where I study.

But I will figure something out.

the broadway location in the north side, the one people are talking about how judgemental and against walk-ins the guards are.
