IF you are traveling because of an emergency and IF you are 100% sure you are approved (100% not 99%) then I would just travel because you should receive it shortly and you can have someone expedite it to where you are traveling after receiving it. This is a HUGE risk which is why i state only if it's an emergency and you are 100% sure you'll receive the paper at some point.

If you it's not an emergency or you are not 100% then i wouldn't take the risk. Can you just call USCIS and ask them when it was mailed? or when it will be mailed and if they can provide you with a tracking number?

This is terrible terrible terrible advice and you should not listen to. Don't not leave the country with out your Ap doc. Do not leave with out it. Just don't. No one will cared for it as much as you will.

You cannot leave the US without the AP document. You will not be admitted back in. You might as well self-deport if you leave without AP.

Actually, according to the USCIS website you CAN leave without the AP letter in your hands. In fact, even if they didn't allow it there would be no way for them to find out since you don't provide it upon departure. Just make sure that your departure date is within the time period granted in the letter. That is, if you're granted Jan 7-Jan 14, don't leave on the 6th.

Hmmm can you please explain how this is a terrible idea?
IF someone is 100% sure they'll get the document, that means there is 0% chance of NOT getting it. IF it is truly is emergency and my mother was in her deathbed and only had a few days to live and i was 100% certain i would get my document i would certainly leave. Unless you can explain how this is a "terribly terrible terrible" idea don't judge it. Everyone is entitled to "Listen" to all opinions, you're no one to tell someone to "not listen to" an opinion because IT IS AN OPTION. Whether you approve or disapprove of it, it is an option.

Can someone provide a sample letter used as prove in an Advance Parole application? Does the letter have to be from the doctor to the patient, or from the doctor to the relative that will be traveling?

Any relative will do, siblings are considered close relatives. Just note the sickness in question needs to be somewhat severe, common cold will not cut it.
