^ Haha.

I think it's necessary since the law changed... if you want to go to Canada or Mexico now you need a passport to do so. If you don't plan on traveling outside the country, then you don't really need to have one.

Hehe...I said American passport, but I meant to say Mexican passport. Like, my husband is undocumented but he has an ID and a DL. We were thinking of taking a vacation before the end of the year (within the country), but he could just use his IDs to travel, right? I'm guessing yes, just making sure.

haha... yeah i was wondering why you said american... anyway... yeah he can just use his ID's... i think it's better than using the passport.

YOu can travel anywhere in the US with a valid US driver's license. You can also apparently use your foreign passports too, because a friend of mine used hers to travel back and forth from Pennsylvania to Florida, MULTIPLE times.
