Furthermore, yes they are placing a ton of security provisions at the border. Why are you mad about that? They have the right to protect their country and choose who gets to come in or not. Obviously the previous immigration reform by the Reagan administration didn't do a fantastic job because we're all sitting here, aren't we? They want to prevent another situation like this from happening in another 30 years and they have every right to. This legislation isn't just going to open up a free for all.

Also, nothing about the reform screams racism. Please stop accusing everything that you don't agree with of racism.

Decades from now people will look back and realize how absurd it was that immigrant workers were left in a state of limbo for so many years by the host nation that benefited from their labor.
