Nobody was stolen from their home in the middle of the night and made to work in a field in order to make sure Americans got their cheap labor. You are owed nothing.

Any sort of legalization, no matter how long the wait period, is better than what undocumented immigrants have now. Please stop making all of us look like we think we deserve something from the government just for showing up.

Furthermore, yes they are placing a ton of security provisions at the border. Why are you mad about that? They have the right to protect their country and choose who gets to come in or not. Obviously the previous immigration reform by the Reagan administration didn't do a fantastic job because we're all sitting here, aren't we? They want to prevent another situation like this from happening in another 30 years and they have every right to. This legislation isn't just going to open up a free for all.

Also, nothing about the reform screams racism. Please stop accusing everything that you don't agree with of racism.
This. No one owes us anything.

They want southern border security because of the Mexican cartel and all the other mafiaos that use it as a drive thru drug service.

That just shows you don't know you're history. As I was saying those women and black people where denied rights they were entitled too because they were born here. So your point here is moot bexauw we weren't born here. This just proves you re a troll or a self entitled dreamer. It doesn't matter really. Lots of you are here and are ignored. And for a good reason. A self entitled person will always demand more. Even when it's not rightfully in their right. You moved your augment from, I should be given citizenship because I paid my taxes to , I should be given citizenship because damn it blacks and women where given theirs plus white people stole this land from the begining. This is sad and amussing. I love nothing more than watching someone backpedaling their point around. It's makes it really easy to destroy. Everyone can see what you're doing and is not making your point any better you're the type of people who thinks we are the blacks of the 60s and we should demand our rights as they did.
Those Blacks were not born here..they were brought here !!!!!

I think everyone has to remember that you can still fight for best possible legislation with fewer restrictions and shorter pathway to citizenship, and still be grateful for the bill that passes (even if it isn't exactly what you hoped for). Sure US doesn't 'owe' us, but if we don't stand up for ourselves, who else will?

I seldom comment on this forum but I feel compelled to reply to this particular individual.

You participate in almost every single thread that is posted and, based on the hundreds of your comments that I've had the misfortune to read, I find you to be snide, sanctimonious and just plain contemptible.

I don't recall what your story is exactly but you lack solidarity and sympathy with the community.

I for one completely understand the poster's view that the way politicians in Washington portray us constitutes an assault on our collective dignity.

Decades from now people will look back and realize how absurd it was that immigrant workers were left in a state of limbo for so many years by the host nation that benefited from their labor.

Well, sensible people, that is. The kind that you do not belong to.

Oh my. We have illegal Republicans in our midst.

No one owes anything? Then why the hell are you still here? Leave, just leave. Or are you waiting for charity?

As for the rest of us, we know that we are owed our dignity as human beings. That you do not see that means that you have internalized the rhetoric and lost your sense of self worth.

This is guys when he has nothing else to say, better start the personal attacks. You know lots of people here don't like me because I give them slaps of reality so one more person hating me doesn't really matter. Like I said before. Lots of your type come and go looking up words in a thesaurus with the same mindset. And they all leave or get banned. So it doesn't really matter. But keep it up with the personal attacks im sure you won't break soon backpedaling your way put of this one.

Yes that's right break into a country. Stay there with out authorization and then demand rights. Rights as humans or are you talking about rights of breaking people's houses and the demanding they make you a family person. I am loving this guy. Looks like this is going to be a good thread. I just need to repost my older post from similar threads.

Please!!! Please!! Close this thread! We DO NOT need to be arguing against the principles for what we are fighting for. We are fighting to stay in the country we love, the only nation we know. Our parents chose to give us a life here, now we must show this nation who we are, why we shouldn't be left.

If you don't support the immigration bill, then you shouldn't be following it, you shouldn't even think about applying for it. Mods, close this thread, nothing good will come out of this.
