You’re exactly that type of voter every party desires, a blind one.

I don't know how to explain this to you in legal terms, but you are wrong. I am not talking about deferred action or work permits, what I'm saying is one provision in DACA (the one we use to not get deported basically) is due to the prioritization, this is known as 'prosecutorial discretion'. It basically says we don't have the resources to go after everyone at the same time, so we will create an ordering based on some severity basis, in terms of DACA it also says, while these peoples cases are being adjudicated (at some later date hence the 'defered'), they can get a temporary work permit so that they aren't wasting our time and resources.

This also has a legal consequence, if a DACA person is detained by ICE and has a court case, they can claim, hey judge, you should probably give me prosecutorial discretion because there is a legal edict that says prefer gangbangers or w/e other criteria there is. At this point it would be up to DHS/ICE to demonstrate they have gone after the preferred groups first and that your case is also valid for adjudication. This is an undue burden on them. By setting the priority date to June 2018 or w/e, DHS/ICE has to demonstrate they have already gone after all new illegals before going after the old ones. So obviously they aren't happy about that...

I understand that. My point is this can hardly be considered a defacto amnesty. DHS should prioritize its resources. It makes sense and makes the country safer. Look how many people Obama was able to deport despite having a enforcement priority list. A father of two American Citizen children with no criminal record, has been here 10+ years should be be in the same priority class as someone who has been here less than a year and committed a felony.

So trump has been consistent and negotiating in good faith? No goal posts moved. Definitely not moving to blame someone else for his lies.

Please read my last posts before you make any “assumptions”...

Trump and his hardliners are taking advantage of our situation because of this, not because they want to “help us” but because they are so eager to push their entire immigration agenda under one bill and now all of sudden when the Democrats have no leverage they decide to grow a pair? Give me a break!

It’s clear that BOTH parties have their own agenda when it comes to our situation.

If trump would have stuck with what he said before he would deserve more credit and less blame. He then throws his support to the worst bill that got the least amount of votes. Fuck him.

I have absolutely no reason to disagree with what you just said. However, you also need to realize that the problem goes beyond just Trump and everyone knows the Democratic Party is just as guilty as Trump.

We got played. They knew the bill would not pass with that future date clause. You would have to be retarded or on drugs to think after including that clause that it would pass. They did it on purpose fully knowing that that would give the GOP ammunition to strike it down even after they said the date was changed back to Jan 1 afterwards, the media had already published the June, 2018 date everywhere.
