I agree with this argument, besides the 'bureaucracy' worked actually really well in approving people. When they come out with a time line, they know what they're talking about. They adjudicate as quickly as they can and there comes the time where the load just stacked up.
And what do you mean 18 months? The processing 6 months isn't deducted from the 2 year period of deferral.

So you mean my 2 years of deferred action will start as of dec 17th? I thought all applicants were to be considered as if they received deferred action starting June 15th. I'll look into it, that is good news if its true.

It's true. My EAD expires two years after the date I was approved.

No clue as to why these apps have been takin so long for some of us. I sent mine a few days after yours- USCIS received sept5 . Have you had USCIS history in the past? I've had a previously A# for previously petitions I aged out of, I've had an EAD in the past, no felonies , significant misdemeanors, etc., and I've been here my whole life : Ewi at age 1. Is your case similar? Perhaps it's completely meaningless to try to make sense of the senselessness of this adjudication process, but its therapeutic. How thick was you packet? (Mine was a good 100 plus pages) . We probably have the same adjudicator. Good luck mr patience! ... good luck!

This was merely the day the DACA process was announced, no one was approved till we had passed through the USCIS bureaucracy and satisfied all DACA requirements. Hence the day of your approval is the day in which your deferred action commenced. Likewise for your EAD . Good luck dreamer! See you in 2 years!
