I know I don't know why they were so late I feel that because our bios were almost a month after application acceptance everything else slowed down and we were forgotten idk that's how it feels . No order at all . Receipt numbers before and after mine were approved . Even if I sent a lot of evidence it shouldn't be taking this long. Ill be surprised to be approved before march

Had name updated randomly on Monday for EAD. Had good outlook for this week hoping it meant an approval soon. Today is Thursday. I hope I get it this week. .... Anyone with a name update by USCIS? Still on initial review?

Now I can clarify for everyone what exactly 'name was updates in the system' status means. It took me 2 visits to 2 different supporting centers and reading this forum back and forth to put 2 plus 2 together. So, for all of you who is still waiting since August, September, etc. and had done the bios long ago: the reason you're not approved yet is the name check done by the FBI after the fingerprinting. We have been told @ both supporting centers that my daughter's name wasn't cleared yet. She is, too, waiting since the August, 16th submission and had been issued the bios application twice. Had to go first in September, and than again in November. So when you receive the notification regarding name update, you cannot really see any changes in the status, but that means that your name check had been cleared by the FBI and that the processing center can start working on approving your application. Without that step, they can do nothing but wait for it to go through... These of you still in the wait along with us, hang in there. As soon as the name check will be complete, you are going to be approved in no time.

can we contact the FBI to make sure the fingerprinting has went through. I know of other people who have called. GREAT INFORMATION

No, you can't. We've tried that. They are no longer answer these calls. My guess is that they were overwhelmed by the phone calls from DACA applicants at some point...
