Can i ask where are you from?

I also called the number at first, but the rep gave me an appointment until October 17 at the Los Angeles Center.
Then I just went online, created an account, and scheduled an appointment on my own for one of those consulado en ruedas which the earliest available was Septmeber 18.
I have heard from alot of people that they go in with a walk-in, and they dont even let them speak and send them off right away telling them to call the 1-800-MEXITEL number.

From the Consulado en Ruedas and also from the Los Angeles Main Location.

If you happen to be from Los Angeles, and you were able to do a walk-in then I should give it a try.
I know they are really freaking strict since they see tons of people daily.
No worries on the info I'm from San Diego. I've never heard of the Consulado en Ruedas but sounds more promising than calling and getting an appointment a million years from now for a passport.

It all really depends on the people that work at your consulate. Like I said, a lot of them are assholes. When I was there getting my passport, the guy that attended me was a total dickwad with everyone but when he got to me and saw that I was a university student urgently trying to get a passport for school (that's what I told them but I was actually getting it to be able to party in Vegas on my birthday, haha) he changed his tune. Most of the people the consulates serve are illegal and they treat you like ignorant scum because of that. Mexican bureaucracy at it's worst honestly.

I was a bit fortunate because I was able to talk directly to the consulate director and he waived the whole appointment thing and let me process everything that day. I say it's worth a shot, the worst that can happen is that they won't help you. Just make sure:

1. You are there EARLY, before they open. If you go late, you don't have a chance because there's so many people later in the day and they won't help you.
2. Have all the requirements for your passport ready.
3. The crucial part: state the urgency for needing your passport. Tell them you have your biometrics appointment and they will not take any other form of ID so you absolutely have to get your passport before then. Tell them the importance this has for you. You have to show some character here because you might get an asswipe and you want to make sure he hears you out instead of turn you down automatically.

It is probably more challenging now because I'm sure there are MANY trying to get their passports now than back in May when I did it before Deferred Action was announced and this whole application process started, especially in a region such as LA. But like I said, you won't lose anything in trying other than a bit of time and some sleep for having to get up really early.

Yeah :-/ I actually had the pictures put just forgot to put them in my packet. I heard it wasn't a big deal because they take pictures at the biometric appointment. My appt is on the 17th hope it's ok..!!!

I was just in orlando fl. I lost my passport in the hotel and I had a flight leaving the next morning at 6:00am. I went to the Orlando consul and they were amazing. Not only did they help me that same day without an appointment but they put me in front of the line of everyone else that did have an appointment. Just go try they should be able to do something.

Received my appointment for Biometrics today for September 11. I was a bit surprised that mine is soearly even though my delivered date was later than some. Not complaining though. The next ten days are going to test my patience. The days after that will do so even more.

It all depends on the state you are applying from, and how many dreamers they are in that state.
I read elsewhere in this forum somebody in Rhode Island got an appointment set for the 6th or something like that.

I think it is in this same thread matter of fact, just some pages back.

Thank you for that Information Akkiano.

I will go ahead and give it a try this week coming up.
I am not sure if I should go to the consulado en ruedas or to the Los Angeles Location.

I am guessing Los Angeles will be my best bet, since they are able to handle more capacity.

Thanks Again.

Sounds really good that they we're able to help you go in front of the line.
I am hoping they will at least let me do a walk in.
So were you able to make the flight the next morning?
