If I remember correctly it was only valid for a month. I didn't activate it right away because I thought it was a waste of time. But I was able to make an account myself a couple months later.

Have anyone with a "background check issue" been approved yet?

Been lurking here for a few days, and want to say thanks to all you guys for keeping me sane with your posts. Do you guys think i can renew my drivers license now, or i have to wait until i actually have the EAD in hand?

GOOD LUCK DREAMERS!

Did anyone receive an approval notice when your EAD went into production? I spoke to a tier 1 rep that says such a thing does exist, but I didn't get one. I tried to get transferred to tier 2 and she said to call back in about an hour and ask again since they are having technical difficulties. She was nice, but she could be wrong. I hate them for the lack of consistency, but it's also difficult to get at whatever rep is talking to me at that point, since obviously this is not their fault.

I was approved today!! OMG I am so relieved!

TIMELINE
Appt received-6/24/2016
Called USCIS because I did not received biometric appt-7/28/2016
Scheduled for Bios-8/26/2016
Did walk in for bios 8/16/2016
Called USCIS at 105 days to put in a SR-I821D 10/11/2016
Put another SR-I765 online thru Ellis 10/19/2016
Approved- 10/19/2016-Approval did not show up until 10/20/2016
I expire 11/11/2016

Congrats! I added your information to the spreadsheet. Looks like their approval updates don't show until the next day.

If in Cali, you can take your approval notice and your SSN card.

EAD Approved 10/13
DACA Approved 10/16

I get a scan copy of whatever mail I'm getting delivered today and looks like my new card might be there.
