Wasn't a problem in the ASC in Riverside, CA.

There were family members inside waiting for the applicants.

Nice... thanks for the answer. Riverside is actually where more than likely I'll be scheduled at!

I just did my walk-in today at the Chatsworth location and everything went smooth!!! I went in there around 3PM, it was really empty. The staffs there were really nice and friendly. The security just ask for my paper and didn't even ask why I'm here early(as my schedule appointment). I guess I was worrying too much. For those who also want to do a walk-in at this location: don't go there early because it would be pack! I went in there on Monday 8AM, it was pack of people. Afternoon would be better~~~

Sorry to ressurect and old thread but I just happend to stumble upon it through a google search and thought I'd share my 2 cents. I may be a little late on posting this seeing as I did my walk in last week but it doesnt hurt to share. Lol. Well, my story begins with a trip down to the San Francisco ASC where after reading this thread and the countless 5 star reviews on yelp I decided to do my biometrics. My scheduled appointment was for march 1st across the bay in Oakland but I wasnt really that excited to have to wait that long. So off I go to sf. I arrive there and greet the friendly security guard with a good morning and my letter, he then looks at the letter and tells me,
"You know you're early right? Is there a reason for that?"
Wow, at that moment I thought, well there goes 6 bucks for the bridge and 1 for the parking meter. Plus a 3 week wait for my appointment. Since I couldnt bring myself to lie to the guy, I just told hime the truth.
"Its my day off." I told him. He looks at me and then jokingly responds,
"man, thats a terrible excuse." At which point, he hands me a number and a clipboard, tells me to fill out the form, and wait for my number to be called.
SCORE!!!
I was in! Lol. Then I go through the rest of the process and blah blah blah. I get to my car and look at the parking meter. It turns out I was in there only 14 minutes! So long story short. If you just cant wait for your appointment and live in or near the bay area. Then go ahead and give the sf ASC a shot. Most likely they'll take you in. Just make sure you go in with a better reason than mine for being early. Lol

On a side note, I just wanted to say hello to everyone in this forum. I am new here and I hope to contribute in any way I can. I also hope you guys (and gals) take it easy on me. I've read several threads here and it seems some folks tend get edgy at times. But its most likely because they're still waiting for approval. Lol. I kid, this forum seems full of great people. Im glad to now be part of this community.

I also read this thread and went over for a walk-in at SF ASC. We were scheduled at Oakland two weeks later but need to travel in a few weeks and must have AP asap. The security guard was exceedingly good. He let us walk-in for finger printing without much questioning. I have to say SF ASC is standing up to its good reputation.

One surpsing finding. USCIS doesn't allow nose pins when taking picture for biometric purposes, even small ones.
