No, I am also having trouble with self-check. Several users have told me that that system verify s through credit checks and if you have no credit background it will not work. I have no credit history so I cannot be verified. I guess all we can do is increase our history and wait until we are verified by an employer. No worries.

hey guys ,
just so everyone is updated. Went to the social security office to apply for ssn. Everything went fine even though I just got my card on the 13th ( was issued on the 11th) so that makes it 6 days since it was issued. I say that because on other forums they say to wait 7 to 10 days.
I then headed to the dmv and they let me take my written test. They were a little iffy though since I still don't have my ssn , but they didn't let me get my permit. They told me I have to have the physical copy of the ss to apply. So don't waste your time. Also they lady said that they used to do it, but so many ppl started coming in and the supervisor told them to stop. Just a little info for everyone for future use. btw it was at sahara dmv.

I suppose this thread helped out a lot, and we do have quiet a number of dreamers in Nevada (users and lurkers).
Congratulations, I also applied for my ssn on a Monday and received the card four days later.
