I'm 21, and I've been approved for EAD, though still waiting on DACA (seems strange but I guess it's better than the other way around)

Yes, I have. I called USCIS, but the representative wasn't very helpful. She just told me that it could be another 3 months before I get a decision for DACA, and I could still get denied, even if I'm EAD approved. Which seems contradictory to me, but whatever

Hi everyone. I have not post for a while, but I have been reading the forum. Last time I post was because my 16 years old brother in law got approved. Now my 19 years old brother in law got approved on Feb 13.

Here is there timeline:

19 years old brother in law timeline
Self-prepared
California Service Center
WAC1390242***
Total pages of evidence about 150
EWI: YES (entered USA when he was 11 years old)
Graduated from high school 2012
Sent app 11/28/2012 by Express mail
Received 11/29
Bio taken on 12/13 (Walk in Riverside CA) used Matrícula Consular ID
EAD approved 2/13/13
Deferred action-Approved 2/13/13
His whole process time: 78 days to get approved


16 years old Bro-in-law timeline
Self-prepared
WAC#1390027***
Total pages of evidence about 60
EWI: YES (entered USA when he was 9 years old)
Currently in High School
Sent app 10/03/12 by express mail to Arizona lock box received 10/4/12 routed to California service center
Biometrics letter received 10/13/12 for 11/08 (walk-in) 10/15/2012 (Riverside CA) used high school ID
EAD approved 11/03/12
Deferred action-Approved 11/04/12
His whole process time: 1 month to get approved

Just for your information both of them had 1 misdemeanor for a fight they had at high school.

How old r u ... I think they are prolonging approving older and highly educated people...

Did anyone write a biography w their packets? I didn't do squat! So I now feel maybe I should of!
I highly believe that strong evidence is needed to show the economical necessity to get approved... I don't know. Just guessing

Applications are randomly assigned to case workers. Some are faster than others.
