Does anyone know about claiming US Citizenship on an I-9 form? Will a dreamer not be eligible?

It depends on the version of the DA. You're referring to false claim of citizenship which is 6C.

A conditional GC was part of the original Dream Act. The conditional part refers to limited travel capabilities. It does allow travel but not more than a certain period of time basically. Lets see what this bill is all about. I honestly think it would be completely absurd to make ALL Dreamers wait for 5 years to get a GC. But so far the details aren't enough to come to this conclusion. Lets wait.

Well I hope they forgive dreamers for false claim to USC.

More than likely they would or there will be a waiver for "family unity or humanatrian reasons".

There has to be a wait of 5 years. Why? Because it is necessary for to uphold other parts of the bill, of which there are two.

1. There is a large backlog of legal immigrants waiting for greencards/citizenship. We can't just jump ahead of all of them.

2. The Department of Homeland Security must outline its border protection program before any of the beneficiaries of the bill can gain citizenship.

Sounds fair only if we're allowed to travel within that period. Makes sense. Pretty much we're like green card holders.

I don't think that is accurate.I think number 2 is really just the implementation phase of the bill considering there is no way someone can be "immediately" be legalized.Number 1,I am not too sure about and have not seen anything within the outline that those under the Dream act provision are subject to any of the triggers.

So I was just reading an outline that this org named Cuentame posted. Let me see if I got this little part right, it says that after 10 years if people have followed certain guidelines they will be eligible to apply for permanent residency. Then it says that us DREAmers and Agricultural Workers will be able to do it in 5 years and we would automatically be eligible for citizenship.

Does that mean we wouldn't have to wait even longer to try and obtain citizenship?
