So, on average, it takes about 6 months to get approved from the date you send in your application?

I would say between 4 and 5.5 months

Depending if your case is complicated like criminal record ect, Then it will take more than 6 months. If you don't have a criminal record then most likely you'll get approved within 3-4 months that's if they DONT issue you a RFE then it might take 5-8 months.

Thanks. I don't think my case is complicated. At least that's what I think... And I don't have criminal record either. I heard that USCIS may start accepting application for DACA Expansion sometime in February. I am going to see an attorney to make sure my application is flawless. Hopefully, I will be free by summer.

could be wrong but between the renewals and all the new applicants the wait could be longer. maybe that's why they made it three years.

Wait?! I thought you were talking about the current DACA not the DACA Expansion.....With DACA Expansion it could take up to within 1 year to get approved.....that's what it says on USCIS.gov I would hope it doesn't take that long for people applying for the new DACA Expansion or DAPA.
