Seriously though, you wouldn't be human if you weren't a little depressed over having an uncertain future, but if you got DACA, you have to wake up every morning praising Obama for sparing you of the most horrible life within a first world country that you can imagine.

You see that homeless guy on the street? He can go take a shower at the shelter and apply at any burger king. You can't without DACA. It's hard to not get a little depressed about that. Or when you see your dumbass peers buying condos and taking trips to Iceland or Greenland (I always get those too mixed, but the one that has Puffins) every year when you're worried about taking a trip within the same country, it gets depressing.
Exactly.

If you are one of the lucky ones to be able to get DACA, unlike some of us, depression regarding this matter shouldn't strike you this badly.

You're taking our post a little bit too personally. It wasn't meant for you sport, it wasn't directly to brag here or anything. it was meant to make a point. But seeing how somehow you now got involved with t why don't focus our attention towards you

Dude, i'm clearly not taking anything personal. Are you not reading my replies? lol

Back to the OP, don't be discouraged. You have to find a way to make the best out of every situation.

Like i said before, don't find yourself suddenly at 40 or 50 or 60 years old thinking "holy shit, i spent my whole life being worried about this and didn't get to enjoy it!"

Because that would really suck!

Lots of people here were in high school or college before DACA why it took some of theme years for them to realize they're not like their legal peers is confusing for me.

" omg so I walk to the DMV office and am told I can't get one because I wasn't born here like i totally didn't know I was here illegally . I am 17 and for some reason my parents have never told me this like it seriously caused me to go totally depressed because it turns out my life was a lie"

We get stories like this and it's funny as heck I am sorry but how can you not know something so obvious ?

And now we have

" omg totally depressed because I cannot go to Greenland for fun or Canada for road trips"

I seriously can't imagine how they will act if they ever get a green card

" omg this conditionally residence card is totally making me depressed I can't be outside of the USA for more than a certain months?!! This totally feels like I am being like oppressed here"

I honestly think it's all a matter of perspective.

You can be upset about not being able to take trips or do things that others around you normally do without thinking about it twice, but i don't think you should take it as far as getting depressed about it.

If anyone is feeling down about their situation, i'd encourage them to think about how it could always be way worse. But then again, telling someone not to be sad because others may have it worse, is a lot like telling someone not to be happy because others may have it way better! lol

It's really depressing when you compare your life to someone who has GC or citizenship.. I know because it really sucks to watch your citizen friends waste away their opportunities while you're trying your best with limited resources. I personally know a friend who is a citizen and he dropped out of school because he was "bored" with it and just sits at home playing games...while I'd LOVE to go to school on instate tuition and always ready to work my butt off...It does not seem fair. However, I believe life is fair when you see it in the bigger picture. Our hard work will be paid off one day. You have to believe that. Always seek out for better opporutinities and work at it.
I'm personally enlisting in ARMY through MAVNI but I know some of you can't. But I'm sure there will be immigration reform in the future. There has got to be an immigration reform..This country is built on immigrants they cannot ignore that. And what if they decide to deport us all? so what? your life does not end because of that. There will always be a way to live. Your life might be better in different country. Who knows? Let's be thankful for what we have now and do our best with our resources... your day will come just stay strong & positive.

"Being unfair" is a condition you are willing to put up with if you want to remain on this country. If you can't handle the unfairness then go back to your country where it's "fair"
