You cannot use it alone if it's your parent's name. If they have you listed as a dependent somehow, then maybe.

Hi guys, I'm a lurker finally registering.

I have a question about Form 1-821d part 2 question #2, list of addresses. I transferred to a school (for Jr and Sr year) to be with my friend using her address in High School but I didn't live in that address with her.

My report cards has her address on record for 2 years till I graduated, but obviously I lived with my family in a different address for those 2 years and more. Should I list the address too or just put my family's address for those 2 years? I'm conflicted and any help is appreciated.

^^

I would put those 2 addresses you actual lived in, and in part 7 (page 6), give your friend's address...the one in your report cards...and explain that it was a mailing address for two years (care of: your friend's name). I'm not sure if they're going to require you to explain yourself about this somewhere down the road, but that's the only way I could think of in your case.

Also...welcome to the forum!

Thank you dreamy for the fast response. Do you think they would see it as fraud since I never lived with her and wasn't supposed to go to that school? I was zoned for a different school. This was back in 2001 and I don't think it should be a big deal, but any little things make me nervous right now lol.

I'm not sure how they will see it, so be prepared for them to ask if they get curious. But if it's just a school district issue...where you're zoned to a different school like you said....it may not be a big deal. Your school records are authentic, and people do it all the time when they want to go to another school outside their district, they just put someone else's address. Just as long as you write in your form that you used it as a "mailing address" for those two years, I think you should be ok.

Yeah obviously no one here can know the answer exactly, but I think I just needed a peace of mind. I'll list what you suggested. Thanks!

I called the USCIS hot line and I spoke to a rep and she told me I had to inculd any misdemeanor even if it happened as a juvenile, I email my towns police records and they want a california I.d card to get me record. :/ one of the requirements to get a ca I.d is a S.S # which I don't have. Can I get my record through a attorney or is it easier through the FBI?

I was given a ticket for jaywalking I went to court and got it cleared. However unfortunately a couple months later I got another ticket for the same thing, only I gave the officer false information but took my finger prints, that was six years ago. Will this be an issue, should I consult a lawyer? Also how should I go about attaining Courthouse and Police Records?
