Highly doubt that this would be the case. I am not sure where the rep is getting this info from, but unless the DACA renewal notice is backdated to previous expiration, not sure how they are going to track this as their guidelines currently say if the DACA lapses, you will accrue unlawful presence.
It is amazing that they don't stick to their guidelines of providing an extension in case of delays for applications filed according to their timelines but then provide inaccurate info on top of it about unlawful presence.
Hope they resolve the delays or formalize an extension process soon being sensitive to the needs of many of us in this situation.

Like I said they are under no sort of pressure from their heads to at least try to make this process faster like it was last renewal. If we are able to get the story of mass expiration of DACA beneficiaries to some of our allies in the senate etc. They will be able to put more pressure on USCIS to not allow this to happen. We need to start contacting some of these senators because I for one don't want to sit on my ass and just let my work permit expire.

Ugh so frustrating!
Damn just keep trying bro, I believe it's all luck because they do not follow their own procedure, they seriously make things up along the way

Exactly, unlawful presence will accrue once your DACA expires.

However, I don't see it as an issue for most. The biggest issue with accruing unlawful presence are for those who had DACA prior to turning the age of 18 and are now over 18.

Actually, I do recall reading that. Well, that's that.

I've been thinking the same thing. If I'm going to get the same text book responses most of ya'll get here from their people, i might as well stay home and not risk getting pulled over (expired licence).

The National Benefits Center? That's odd. According to the processing times table, that doesn't even handle DACA renewals.

The delayed process has been happening since the first renewal. They never try to resolve the issue. I was wondering if we could bring up the issue to the secretary of DHS or any Dream Act advocates like Senator Dick Durbin or Rep.Luis Gutierrez.
