Hey guys just an update - I was approved on 10/30 and I expire on 11/13 - I was patiently waiting for ELIS status to update and it did but no tracking....so this is what I did to get the tracking number.

I went to USPS website and registered for an account with my address...they ask you a few identity verification questions online and once you create an account, they notify you of any packages being delivered to your address!

So I got an e-mail today saying my package was on it's way and my EAD is the only package i'm waiting for...expected delivery on 11/10. I am so thankful to GOD, for this experience - it humbled me once again, I was beginning to get too high on my horse and it made me realize how fragile our situations are and how even though I tried to keep it together on the outside I was being consumed internally - and many times others are fighting their own internal battles for which we don't consider.

My job offered to take me back too, so that's good.
And yea Trump might make all this worthless but I'm not giving up, I'm crossing my fingers he will keep DACA

Feel the same exact way

I am still waiting for my renewal to be approved. It all seems so insignificant now that Trump has won. My future will be as uncertain even with the work permit.

Should I bother renewing?

My work permit is about to epire in a little over two weeks and I've tried calling asking for a service request and going to an Info pass and they just told me that my background check was still not completed they received my biometrics so I asked why they told me maybe someone had your same name the same day you went for your bios. I have 3 names and two last names so I told her that would be unlikely. She said it doesn't matter if you match 2 or three names maybe some one with your middle name and last name came up and they have to investigate that and do a background check. I'm not a felon and haven't been to jail this is frustrating and really upsetting to me and my fiancée. Now that Trump is in office I don't know what's ahead for all of us. I suggest we stand together don't give up hope and stay positive. Personally I'm not letting it bring me down but not everyone is taking it like me. Take it day by day pray and pray for people like me waiting on an answer before the deadline hits.

Guys, I really think that while you can you should still renew your DACA. Many who were left out would give anything to have a chance for a work permit, ss#, and a valid driver's license even if there is a chance it'll be taken away. I know it's expensive but I have many friends and family who would give anything to be able to apply for DACA. So, don't take it for granted. Go for it!

Do not stop trying to renew your DACA.

There is a chance that if you get it renewed in time, that Trump may let you use it until it expires.

We need to tell Obama he needs DHS to speed up the process for DACA. This might be our only saving grace for the next 2 years.

That man better announce soon what he plans to do with DACA because I have to make moves!
