Do you guys have any idea why I haven't received my EAD yet? Got approved Oct 31st for DACA, I called and they said I could only ask for a service request after 3 months of DACA approval, but I did my biometrics in May...has anyone experienced something similar?

It helps to always keep photocopies of past applications, I kept my Initial Request and my last renewal, so filing my renewal application was a breeze. If you're not sure of any of the questions, the guide to the application is quite helpful. You can always get a Lawyer but if you're like me and can't afford one..following the guideline can be just as much help
I didn't leave the Country during those 2 years, I never applied for Advanced Parole.

The only thing I would've changed is sending my application within the 120-150 days slot. I sent mine on the day it expired (not a good idea) so I was blessed to have an approval so quickly. I was on Maternity leave but I was hoping and praying my EAD card arrived before January 2017, low and behold
Sept 20- My Renewal Application rec'd @ USCIS
Sept 23- USCIS sent a notice for Biometrics Appointment
Oct 14- I went to Biometrics Appointment
November 27- Case approved, producing new card
Dec 2- USCIS mailed new card
Dec 5- EAD arrived.

It took a little over 2 months to renew my card through the Nebraska Service Center. I was very anxious so it helped that you could create an account online so you can track the update of your DACA. I hope this timeline helped. Good luck!
Lucky you. We have similar timelines. Still waiting to hear back from them.

So here is my timeline of this nail biting process:

Application received: 6/15
Biometrics notification: 8/26
DACA/EAD expired: 9/5
Biometrics done: 9/12 (with appointment, they did not let me walk-in)
EAD approved: 12/5
EAD card arrival: TBD

I've been out of work for exactly 3 months as of today. I lost employment with the hospital I worked for over 3 years. I recently applied for an advanced nursing program from which I was notified last week that they could not process my background check. I requested a second background check this morning and coincidentally, my EAD was approved, so we will see.

During this time I visited local USCIS probably 3 or more times, called customer service to file service request x2. I waited for biometrics for about 2 months and they sent me notification few days after I filed service request. I called customer service last week and filed another service request to escalate my case (and also emailed them) and voila, it was approved today (Monday).
I highly recommend filing service request to escalate your case. Although visiting local office didn't do much, I was told that I could also send a letter to appeal to the service center (for humanitarian purpose/extreme hardship). Sometimes you do get unexpected info that way. Don't ever think those times are wasted.

I hope you all get your approval soon. And you will.
I felt like I was slowly drowning every single day. I really really wish the best of luck to you all.

Congrats! But how did you file a service request to escalate your case? Did they actually tell you they escalated your case or was that just a coincidence that you got approved soon after? I have asked for this over and over and they keep telling that's not possible. That's why I'm asking.

I called the national customer service center (800-375-5283) and told them my case was outside of 105 day period and would like a service request. The agent did it over the phone. They told me it may take up to 15 days before my request is actually assigned to an immigration officer.

When I visited local USCIS office via infopass I asked them what happens during that service request. They said sometimes your case gets "stuck" in the system (technical issue) and nobody notices it, and when they look at your case to do an inquiry per your service request they may find it and fix the issue. But I heard that it might not be helpful and the only thing I can do is to wait from another immigration officer before.

I really don't think it was coincidence that I got my EAD approval shortly after I requested a service for inquiry. I've heard otherwise before from many.
They didn't say that they would escalate my case, I used that word when I emailed them.
(explained my situation and requested to escalate my case). So here is brief timeline:

Service request over the phone: 11/22
Visited local USCIS office: 11/29
Emailed NSC follow up: 12/2 (Friday)
EAD approval: 12/5 (Monday)
Reply from NSC follow up on DACA/EAD approval: 12/6

Same thing happened when I was waiting for biometrics for 2+ months.
Requested service inquiry and they scheduled my biometrics within 2 weeks.
I know many people did everything they could and didn't get a good response.
Do it again. When you talk to a different immigration officer/agent, who knows?
It's not over until it's over. Good luck!

I highly recommending sending an email to NSC followup.

Trump just said the below for his Time Interview of the year. Keep renewing people ! This gives me hope . Him acknowledging our struggle is one of the biggest obstacles.... Still waiting on my renewal , coming up on 200 days since receipt . Usics says still processing....

'We're Going to Work Something Out' With DREAMers, Trump Says

Trump in his interview doubled down on his pledge to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border but appeared to adopt a softer tone with regard to some young undocumented immigrants already living in the country.

"I want DREAMers for our children also. We’re going to work something out," he said. "On a humanitarian basis, it’s a very tough situation."

Trump is referring to the nearly 750,000 undocumented immigrants who Obama declared through executive action in 2012 were exempt from deportation under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

During the campaign Trump vowed to roll back all of Obama's executive orders surrounding immigration.

To all of you folks renewing, I cannot stress it enough that saving money is very important. In October my work permit expired, and my job fired me. Somehow, I had been feeling there was something wrong with this renewal. I saved money, and lived really really tight it was a new job too. I made it past probation period then BAM. They let me go. Yeah it hurts when they terminate you. Just remember you are not the first, or last dreamer to go through that. So while you guys are still working save up all you can. I met with HR today, and after a lengthy process I'm finally going back to work Monday. I was out of my job from October up until now. (I do have a part time right now 3 weeks I'm 20 hours a week).
