SSA, SSN and wait times - Page 86

Ive been waiting since nov 26. i went at the ssa last week and said that it might take up to 4 weeks or more. How come? And btw, i was able to get my drivers license before my visa expired and the drivers licensed expired in 2009. Can i just walk in to get it renewed without my ssn yet & come with my ead card only? Or do i apply for a new drivers license with different number and all? .

I applied 12/10 and got my card on 12/14!

Same here, but I called on Monday and they said nothing had been processed yet but that they will call me when it has. Then I called again on Tuesday and they told me I had been assigned a number and that I should get it within two weeks. Maybe even today, but the mail hasn't come in yet. I recommend you call though. Don't worry though we will get it mr. dick and others waited around a month in total I think.

i applied for my social Dec. 10 and recieved it Dec. 15!!!!

Same I applied 11/23. I called them 11/26 and theh said I had a number and if I wanted to come and ask for it. I did that and they said the card should come in two weeks. It has been more than that and nothing.

I got my EAD on Monday, applied for SSN on tuesday and just received my card in the mail today. That was really fast

Oh well.. another week/month of waiting shouldnt be a problem.. trying not to be atleast. )))
What number did you call? 800 number?

Sooo for a printout, we just go sign in, and ask the teller for a printout?

yea, pretty much. might wanna call first, as i've heard that some centers don't give out print outs.
