Yea as you can see it took a long time to renew, so for everyone else if you think it's taking too long just take a look at my timeline.

Hey guys, my case was approved the same day of my biometrics. I applied December 15th and my biometrics was appointed for yesterday Jan. 19th. Did my biometrics at around 9:00 am yesterday and I checked my case today and it says that my case was approved Jan.19th and my card is in production. I was not expecting this to be so fast but I am very excited since I applied late due to financial issues. Hope everyone has a speedy process, good luck!

^I think Obama must have talked to whoever is in charge to streamline approvals. Mine was approved next business day.

I don't know. i sent mine November 20th. Bios on Dec 9th. haven't heard anything since....

A tip for everyone, if you got some type of criminal record where charges were dropped, record was expunged etc include it with your renewal papers. It was the mistake I made, they ended up sending me a RFE and I can't help but think that set me back a couple of months on my renewal

Has anyone tried to renew their drivers license that got post dated permits? I tried to go yesterday and they didn't let me. They said I have to go until my card is valid which is til March.

Something similar happened to my sister. Her state ID expired but her permit expires in 2 years so DMV didn't let her renew her state ID. They said the permit functioned as an ID. Is that what you meant?

Well..my drivers license expires March 2. And new permit is valid March 3. So I cannot renew dL until March 3. I said my dL will be expired by then. They said those are the rules. That my new permit isn't even valid yet.
