Finally after 10 long struggling years I can legally breath in this country. This morning around 9:00 A.M., I got those two magical text of being approved. This is my timeline
Application sent: September 2nd
Bio: October 2nd (No Walkin)
Aprroved: February 21st 2013

OMG!!!!! I am ecstatic right now!! MY brother was approved today!!!!! It turns out that the RFE was a mistake. They supposedly sent it on February 5th but since we didn't receive it I told him to call today. They ended up transferring and transferring him but it turns out that he was approved today!! The RFE was a glitch they clicked the wrong button or something. His card went into production today!!! YAYYY FINALLY! I'm still waiting but we sent in our apps the same day so I'm calm now. As long as one of us can celebrate that's fine by me!!

His case was a little weird from the start so let me detail it a bit. Application was sent in Aug 31st, received September 5th. He did his biometric on October 4th. Around november they transferred his case to the National Benefits Center then transferred it back to Vermont a month later.

My timeline is almost identical to his besides the Biometric date, I did mine a day before. Our case numbers were almost exactly 1000 apart lol.

We literally sent identical packages so I'm not worried about the RFE anymore. I'll wait patiently for mine!!

The sent for me 3 more days to hit 6 months. hopefully they get a little worry about our. Cases ... wat r u gunna do after the 6 months past by?

171 days today since my petition was accepted as complete for review. LUD 09/07/12, I guess that was when my bio appointment was sent out. Did anyone get a LUD after they had done their bios? Does anyone know why people are sending service requests at the 180 day mark? I have seen nowhere that suggests that they will look at your case within 6 months. At the beginning of all of this 90 days was being thrown around as th maximum time, I think this is all heresay. Also will a service request do any good or will it annoy the adjudicator into sending an RFE? I have dealt with a lot of government agencies and was always told to be silent and let them do their job and not upset them. This is easy in theory but when you are waiting and wondering if your case is lying lost down the back of a filing cabinet it is hard to be silent.

What will you do? Service request? I have seen the result of them and that is usually a line saying under further review and please allow 6 months before you contact us again. The ball is there court, I think I would rather not know.
