 Since you are at a community college, go to your financial aid office and ask for a form for a BOG (Board of Governors) fee waiver. My school had a special one that did not ask for a ssn and if you mention you fall under the Dream Act, they'll understand. You will be asked questions about your income so bring your 2011 Income Tax return. They'll ask you about how many dependents (children) and how many people are in your household. If you make less than a certain amount per household, you will have your fees waived and you will only have to pay for the "health fee" and any additional fees. We can also apply for grants (CA Dream Act) and you can find that application online. You would apply to this if you did not qualify for the fee waiver and made too much. I hope this helps you! |

this is news to me. i know that my legal status has automatically disqualified me from most if not all financial aid/loans so i stopped even paying attention. i just checked my school's financial aid website and it says they'll start giving out applications in january so i'm pretty stoked 
if only i can be approved already.... or at least get some sort of update...??

Click here and do you see where it says, "Provide Signature" ? That's where you or your parents can go in and sign the application for you and it'll all be set.
If you've already done this, them I'm not quite sure what it could be.
