As of December North Carolina DMV has decided to block issuing licenses for DACA recipients until a final decision of the state government is made. So as of now, NO DL for DACA in NC

North Carolina has made the decision to grant licenses to DACA. However, the License will be different from US Citizens license with a different color and design with big bold letters stating "NO LAWFUL STATUS", with deferred action written in the background for a two-year period. This makes DACA people an easy target to discriminiate them and not respect their privacy. Although unfortunate, it's better than nothing.

wow hope other states do not follow these actions. But at least is something is better than nothing. Are these DL valid for identification? Some states are issuing "temporary" DL that are not valid for identification.
