Based on what my friend told me today I think by the time you get your biometric letter it means that they have already looked at your documents and found no flaws with them. Her cousin sent her paper work about a month ago and within a week of her sending it she received a letter her telling her she was missing documentation for 2006. After sending the proper documentation she finally received her biometrics letter. I think the biometrics take longer because it takes longer to do a background check vs. checking documents. I would think that those that have had some contact with the law (either convicted or not) would take longer to go to the next step after the biometrics, but I might be wrong.

We do! Best of luck to you too! & I'll keep you updated!.. I've heard of people who got accepted within a week after their bio. Hopefully we're as lucky as them!

The security guard asked to see my bio letter and when he saw the date he asked me why I was there earlier than I was supposed to, so I told him that I had classes and work all day and I couldn't make it. He told me to wait on the side while he asked, who I assume was the manager, if I could do it that day. And they let me. But I think it's all about luck.. Try to go when there's not a lot of people. I went around 9:30. Best of luck if you decide to do a walk in!

Upon arriving home from work I found two letters from USCIS containing my I-797C receipts, 11/16/2012.

Both my sister and I received our Biometrics appointment letters today. We're both scheduled for the same date and time .
