Im not going anymore. 18 years without going to Mexico and it looks like I'm not going anytime soon. Good luck to everyone whos fortunate enough to go.
Since we had the same timeline I thought I would go in here and say that I went and came back today! and the one day which I'm sure by now you know it means one day to cross the border? if that makes sense...well I crossed in car and it went smoother than I thought I was in and out in less than 20 min, they did not stamp my passport but stamps the advance parole document. I was in Mexico for 4 days and it was great! if any questions ask away

My AP was approved for AUGUST 30 to OCTOBER 30th, it was authorized for one entry and I am under the DACA program.

I actually bought my ticket for Mexico when I received my approval, not the actual documents, and I reserved it for 4 days. When I received the actual documents I noticed the ONE DAY in red. I asked an immigration paralegal that works with a law firm (friend of mines) and she is saying that I can literally only be there (Mexico) for one day. But the threads say other wise.

So, the whole ONE DAY validity has nothing to do with the days you remain out of the country? - Please confirm

Also, I have two copies of the advanced parole and was wondering if immigration will stamp both and we each keep one?

Please help me out! My travel date is next week (September 26).

Thanks!
Because I asked for more than one entry and received 2 copies of the advance parole, I only gave one to immigration just in case I decide to go again before it expires. Hope it helps I just came back today!

Update .... I got my I-797 they actually approved me for a whole month but I asked for only 14 days so that's good . I'm still waiting for actual document. Do you know how long it takes to get it after you receive the notice ?

ALSO SOMETHING WEIRD !! THEY NEVER SAIL THE ENVELOPE WHERE THEY SEND MY NOTICE I THOUGHT THE MAIL MAN OPENED IT BUT THEY NEVER SAIL IT. That's so messed up !!!! Do they do certified mail for the actual document? I really hope so we paid so much money for this to get it lost in the mail .

Hi all,

Just checking in here to say that I'm still waiting on my AP decision. I mailed it out on July 8th and am reading that others have sent their applications in later that mine and have already been approved. I did not request expedited status, so I'm not sure if that is making the difference with mine. I requested to travel in October. I also just received my DACA approval which was set to expire September 22nd, so I'm thinking that could be a reason why I haven't received an update on my AP application, but this of course is all speculation. I've been so worried about delayed DACA approvals that I figured I was still within the time frame for AP approval, but apparently now it sounds like I need to give USCIS a call and find out what is going on. Just great.

Hey sorry to hear about that. I think the reason you havent been approved is because you just got your DACA approved. I really hope you hear something soon.

I'm leaving to Mexico tomorrow!

I'm traveling by bus through Laredo and would just like to know where I have to turn in 1 of my copies. My grandma travels by bus alot and says that they stop at the border and the people who are gonna get persmission (citizens) and people who are turning in a permission (mexicans) get off. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to get off what lol.

I got 2 copies of my AP and I know I have to turn 1 in when I'm at the border I just dont know if its on my way to Mexico or if its on my way back.

EDIT: Thanks to everyone who answered my question about the ONE DAY. Im definitely not checking back with those lawyers again.

You have to show both copies to the US immigration officer on your way back. Sometimes you get a stamped copy back, sometimes you don't but it's ok as long as your passport is stamped. You can also later retrieve your I-94 online.
