He doesn't need parents' consent, but he needs their guidance for true & correct info to properly fill up the form. Just make sure the applications are complete & signed and the supporting documents are attached + passport pictures + fee.

The wait sucks, and I hate calling USCIS and ask for
info/update hoping someone will be nice enough to find out
what's going on with my case, but everytime I get a rude response
but w/e it'll be over soon! (sorry guys just need to vent.)
