I am not in a rush. My old EAD expires in a month. You really have to be on the look out. You don't want to wait a year for a replacement.

My I821D was approved to day, but my I-765 is still in initial review.

821D Approved today as well - I've been checking like crazy today and decided to check one last time before I leave.
765 still pending - but should update soon.

I received no notifications either (text, email)

My expiration date was 10/15 and I have 20 days to get approved...less because I have to count the EAD production and delivery time.

Today I called the USCIS number and got a really good rep. I had read that some people had a lot of trouble getting any info or help from them but I was actually able to get a lot of answers from my call. He was able to tell me that there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my case aside from the fact that it's taking much longer to process. He asked for the service center and I said Texas and he checked their progress and apparently they're running behind. I asked him if they differentiated between approving I-821D initials and renewals and he said NO, which is probably why a lot of us are having trouble getting renewed because they are processing both initials and renewals simultaneously.

I then asked him if he could expedite my case, and he actually sent in an expedite request on my behalf and gave me a reference number, took my information, and told me that they'd be in touch in 5 days. Here's hoping I either get approved before then or they call back and say that they're going to put my case on the fast lane. Just thought I'd post a status update in case anyone else was wondering whether the number was a good option or not.

Also worth noting. The case expedite request was done for the I-821D. There is no case expedite request for EAD for DACA. However, the rep I spoke to said that what triggers the approval of the EAD is ultimately the approval of the I-821D, so expediting that would pretty much expedite the EAD.

When I asked him why some people get the notices first for I-765 first before I-821D, he said that was just due to system/server issues and that ultimately the only way for a DACA applicant to get I-765 is to get the I-821D approved first.

Hey that's awesome. I actually called today to expedite my EAD was the rep wouldn't let me do because he needed to know what it was related to. He said that if it was for DACA he wouldn't be able to.

Going to try tomorrow and call again to expedite the 821. Hopefully someone can help me although knowing my luck I'll get a rep who says sorry, can't because it hasn't been past 6 months / there is no such thing for DACA.

Well, expiring on October 22nd and still nothing from USCIS. I called in today and asked them to expedite the 821D, and they put in the request and said I'd hear back in 5-10 days. The lady I talked to was very helpful, which was a great surprise from the last time I called and they had no idea what DACA even was.

Same here. Lady was extremely helpful. Hopefully this will give the extra push required.
