Quick question, when you put an e-request over the phone what does your status says online?
Mine is "On August 2, 2016, your Other - Tier 1, referral number T*********, was assigned to an officer for response". Thanks

I have emailed NSC with a letter from HR and done an infopass, but there is no update.
HR just informed me that they require the EAD as per I-9 form.

I am not sure what else to do. My EAD expires on 08/17. I applied at the 135 day mark.

Pardon my ignorance on this...However most of the delayed approvals seem to be coming from Nebraska. HOWEVER I dont see Nebraska as one of the places the packets get sent to. https://www.uscis.gov/i-821d-addresses
are the cases than forwarded to different locations?

How do i know where my case will end up? I live in Nevada and according to the website my packet needs to be sent to Chicago.

The place you send it to is not the place where it will be processed. They distribute the applications to different centers based on their case load. My last renewal was sent to Texas and my current one was sent to Nebraska. You will get a receipt where it will tell you where your application was routed to.

Thank you for your reply.

How positive are you about the cases being distributed by case load?
Based on this site https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?ac...office_type=SC it seems to go by zip code.

Based on the 90+ pages on here. Most of the delayed cases seem to be from Nebraska.
Can some one chime in about their time line from the other 3 locations?

Mine has something similar. It doesn't show on the new site, it only shows in the case status site when logged in.

Don't know if it's selective bias, but it is concerning that there's not as many (or any) renewals being processed in the 'peak' season. With previous apps/renewals, we had isolated cases which were delayed but this time seems to be different.

I'm amazed with attitude on their side to just keep repeating Feb 5 or other random teleprompter message without providing any insight on the cause for delays or possible mitigation steps. Hopefully, we see some renewals flowing soon or at least an extension due to delays. Surely, they can't not do anything about addressing this when it seems to impact everyone.

The real test would be in the coming weeks when a lot of the original daca recipients are set to expire. I'm praying that they are not that callous to let thousands of work permits expire.

The easiest thing they could do if they don't think they can get to renewals on time is to simple send out letters like the one they send out for reminder notices saying something like whoever holds this EAD is allowed to work 2 or 3 months past the expiration date on the card. That doesn't cost a lot of money and solves a lot of our problems.

I just called and spoke to various representatives and they all gave me BS answers. So I called to see what was going on with my service request and they said that they could only do something after 30 have passed from the time you filed the request. Also they told me these request are only to get an update on the case but does not force them to make a decision. So i might just get an update saying my case is still under review. I tried to speak to their supervisor and the phone call got "disconnected". I also tried to get the target date for my service request since the representative when I filed did not tell me and two representatives told me that could not be done and the other said she could do it but her system was down. Im like get it together guys, which one is it. They all gave me very minimal info. Pretty much told me to wait and wait for the 30 days and call them back. One told me that DACA cases cannot be expedited. My permit expires 8/17. The only good thing is that my job is not really on top of these things but who knows maybe this week or next I get a call from HR. I hope we get an answer this week.

I tried reaching out to my local representative and was surprised how fast they reached out to USCIS. I faxed them the appropriate documentation and I got a response (not very good one) lie an hr later

"The status of this service request is:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received. If after 60 days you have not received anything in the mail, please contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at the number provided below."

The thing is I don't have 60 days , my EAD expires on 09/10/2016
