Yeah I am going to get one this Friday. I love them but I can’t risk it when I make significantly more money and probably will for the next few years since they are finishing graduate school

Regardless of what anyone says, protect your assets. You worked hard for it! If I were you, I would still consult an immigration lawyer. I promise you aren't the only one in this dilemma.
