Update on my I-130/I-485 case:
Got my EAD over the weekend. Interestingly, it's valid for 5 years now that USCIS has extended the validity period for EADs under certain categories.

Today, I got an email from the USCIS system that a decision has been made in my case. I checked and it looks like it updated to them actively reviewing my I-130 as of today. Hoping for a decision soon! *fingers crossed*

I-130 was approved late this afternoon! I-485 still pending. Really good news and getting closer to that green card!

Congrats! So it sounds like your I-130 was approved in roughly 6-7 months?

Hey, question for those that adjusted status. Did you have to include anything to get AP? I also see that it's available to file online, are you able to do that when you send in I-130+I-485?

There is a separate application and added fee for AP. If you want AP and are willing to pay the extra fee, you should file it with your I130/I485/I765 all together at the same time.

They recently start charging for I-765 and I-131, previously they were free. Cutoff is when your I-485 was received (April 1, 2024: before - free, on or after - gotta pay).

I-765 is $260.
I-131 is $630.

That being said, no they don't require anything from you if you are filing I-131 with I-485. I outright denoted on my I-131 that I am not seeking to travel and merely request it just in case. It was approved.
