Both sides, Dems and GOP, don't want a real solution. The conversations and debates are more valuable than solving the problem.

i heard that in Hanens arguement that he think its wouldnt be right to pull the rug out up under is. thats why he kept the current 600k currently enrolled can keep renewing. he said he understands that we built lives here in the past 10 years..

but lets see how cruel this latest decision might be…

The thing is no one wants to get their hands dirty. Despite many of us being way past being kids; the notion that ending a program would disrupt hundreds and thousands of tax paying for tax purpose residents would look bad on them no matter how it’s put. And ultimately they all want this issue to go the Supreme Court where no one can judge them for whatever decision they make because hey it’s the big c. HaNen could have single-handedly ended it but I think he realizes that’s where his career would be. That’s his legacy. Killing a program that was helping so many people.

i guess we can look on the bright side.. they always found a way to renew TPS or other temporary immigrant relief programs..

maybe they can do something during the lame duck which they said will be one of the busiest lame duck sessions in recent times.. hopefully we can be attached to an omnibus bill or a national defense reauthorization..

prayers up.

Perhaps DACA has already served its purpose and Biden thinks it's time for an "upgrade".
