But I was told a deal was IMMINENT? or was it just BS ...?

Whoever said so has zero credibility then. Sad.

Told you so.

In a 50-50 Senate, the only way forward is through bipartisan legislative action and regular order.

Proud of Manchin for telling his own Party to stop the hyper partisanship and include Senators from the minority.

The Senate had and will always be the best legislative chamber. Don't cheapen it by making it more like the House, a majoritarian institution that has always passed messaging political bills and not really an attempt to pass legislation.

Sinema and Manchin take their roles as Senators seriously and respect the institution.

Democrats sure would love to ram through their liberal wishlist. Plus the Supreme Court is 6-3 so God bless the US Constitution.

Manchin only answers to his constituency, not national liberals. I don't get why he is getting so much smack. He said he is for CIR. I guess he ain't woke enough for the libs/sjws

Remember when Joe Biden ran his track record of getting bipartisan bills through the Senate?

Dems in Congress are spending their precious limited time in the majority thinking how not to work with the GOP. Has Biden had regular meetings with the big four in Congress? I don't think so.

It's either he is lazy or his administration is really so left wing they don't really wanna solve a problem. Working together with the opposite party is the only way forward in the Senate. Unless you got 60 seats, I don't see most bills getting passed. Yeah reconciliation can get you taxes and spending but most other issues need consensus.

Pelosi is also at fault. Such a partisan hack not willing to compromise.

Life kind of sucks at the moment but like Al Bundy and the mighty cockroach, I survive.

He didn't vote for DA in 2010. What do you all expect?

He is an R in a blue suit.

best shot Dems have at doing anything is finding a way to keep the house. Odds are they will pick up 2-3 senate seats in PA, WI or North Carolina. They may lose 1 seat but odds are they will keep the senate. If Dems find a way to win 2-3 senate seats Manchin and Sinema will be irrelevant. Hardest part will be keeping the house because of all the gerrymandering and the new census will favor Republicans.

Not a good strategy. Dems really need to start playing dirty now. I agree with compa sacra on that one.
