Predictions for 2025? anybody?

Given that i keep an eye on the DACA and immigration issues so much, these are the things that i believe could potentially happen in 2025.

When DACA reaches SCOTUS, it will be rendered as illegal and terminated which will cause a major crisis.

given the support we have of both parties they will propose a permanent solution.

then or at the same time it will force the Trump administration to deal with immigration altogether at once.

their immigration reform would include things such as:

-E Verify nationwide.
-EADs for long time illegals through a fine or paying taxes.
-Greencards or citizenship to DACAs.
-Merit based immigration with extreme vetting.
-Amendment of the birthright citizenship clause.(one parent USC or something along those lines)
-Enforcement and enactment of REAL ID.
-0 tolerance for crimes commited by non-citizens.
-Citizenship through service in the military.
-Adjustment of costs for immigration related services.
-(low probability but could happen) more power to the states to enforce immigration laws at will.
-Mexican and Canadian nationals getting immigration priority under provisions of the potential upcoming trade agreements.
-Mexican and Canadian immigration reforms making it more difficult to emigrate to Mexico and Canada.

all that while making it impossible to live and work illegally in the US.

Honestly, I just expect the usual republican spiel of enforcement first, enforcement only. I doubt they'll put you on a bus and send you to Tijuana unless you're a criminal or get really unlucky. Instead it'll be just the slow bleed of being relegated to the edges of society.

So you know, can't work legally, might not be able to get a DL, can't open up most accounts, etc. That's kinda the general gameplan under them, make everything so shitty that people leave.

Yeah pretty much but I do think they will do a few raid at large employers to show the public he's doing something. At least we won't be alone in our misery. All the Trumpers who are struggling today to buy groceries are going to be in a real surprise when tariff and immigration crackdowns increases the price of everything.

My predictions are

- Trump will cancel Advance Parole again.
- Trump will propose DACA fix in exchange for deportations, funding and stricter immigration policies which will not have Dem support.
- We’ll be forgotten by next November

DACA will be cancelled but Comprehensive Immigration Reform will pass which will include the Dream Act.

DACA will not be cancelled

DACA pathway to citizenship will pass with stringent enforcement measures

It will pass both houses with overwhelming support!

Bridge to nowhere in exchange for saving the affordable care act and border security.
Oh yeah and they will do deportations starting with the hardcore criminals and then once they run out of those they'll move on to normal regular people.

To those worried about deportation please read up on it and you will realize that it will be very unlikely we get deportation without a criminal record.

If DACA has pathway to USC then why would it stay?

Why wouldn't it?
