Keep this bumped. It reduces the number of repetitive questions.

Can you work with just showing your employment authorization or do you have to also show your employer your social security card? Althought I think it might be safer and easier to wait until you get your social, but I am just curious.

You need the employment authorization as well as the social security card. Look at the i-9 form on USCIS to see which documents you can use. There's a column bank of documents you need to provide.

Oh, right! I just looked at it, and it says you can show proof of identity and employment authorization or just one document that shows both proofs. And it does say under employment authorization you can show a social unless it says valid for only work, etc.

Actually, you're right. You can just show the EAD but you still need a social security number.

Life after DACA: Still going to school like I was before (thanks for parents successful business), started few start ups of my own, continuing on working with the same company I was working with before, still travel for work only within the US, as I am afraid to travel with AP just in case the CBP agent will have a bad day and won't let me in cuz... The only thing that changed is that I got my driver license, and I get to drive during the summer as for the rest of the year I live in NYC, and well car isn't required there
