1.6 billion and no wall. At the end of these negotiations, democrats will claim they care about border security. "We offered 2 billion for border security and we didn't even want anything in return, how can republicans say we support open-borders?" This would be a decent move by dems and shoot down those that say they want open-borders.

The only counter I can see from republicans is offering wall + permanent DACA. Blame dems for not helping dreamers if they decline and brag about their wall if dems accept.

I think as time goes on in these negotiations, more things will be added in the discussion.

So what if they give him 1.6b for border security ?

Exactly what’s left for the democrats to do? If they bring daca in, they’re done for we all know trump will swift blame to them

If they don’t do anything for border security. Trump is gonna bash them for not caring for the border.

Democrats have done all they can and that is not negotiate with trump. He’s not even willing to bring daca in

Man, this idiot is seriously mentally ill. He needs to be impeached. At least Pence can put a sentence together and actually give us complete thoughts, as bad as they may be.

Unrelated topic but a question about supreme court case. I heard that if supreme court took DACA case this term, it could be ended by September. I'm wondering when the earliest date for DACA to be ended if supreme court takes this next term.

They will not take it this term. If they take it next term, a decision would come around mid 2020.

that 1.6 billion is just to replenish funds to dhs, cbp, ice every year.

they do that every spending bill with every administration.
