Hi all, I was very lucky to have my scheduled interview. 2 days later all USCIS closed. I did hear of some cases getting approved without an interview due to COVID-19. Marriage based as well. Not sure if that will be for everyone but there is hope!

Well I guess we ain't getting our green cards anytime soon, boys and girls:

https://www.theguardian.com/global/2...se-green-cards

Quote:
Donald Trump has announced a 60-day ban on immigrants seeking to live and work in America permanently, and said he could extend it depending on the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.

The US president framed the executive order, which he expects to sign on Wednesday, as an effort to protect American workers from foreign competition. He said it would apply only to those seeking green cards and not temporary workers, but he did not explain how those whose applications are currently being processed would be affected.

False alarm on that article I previously posted, they are still processing green cards for spouses of US citizens.

In lieu of biometrics, they apparently re-used the fingerprints they have on file from biometrics I took for my DACA renewal back in 2018. I checked the status of my application online and it says that as of May 12th they are ready to schedule an interview and that I will receive a notice in the mail. Guess it's just a waiting game now.

It depends what age did you get DACA? If you were older than 18 when you got DACA, then you file the 601-A waiver.

I received my GC in the mail a few days ago. Had my interview canceled due to Covid. Got RFEs in June to provide evidence of bonafide marriage as well as additional support for date of birth since my birth certificate was late registered. Case was approved about a month from when I mailed in my RFE support.

Please don't rush into marriage with a citizen. I am so miserable, I might actually prefer getting deported at this point.
